Prepare a TONA Product Inquiry

Organize your request by item, drawing revision and project stage before asking for product information or a current quotation.

Name the item precisely

Use the product category and your own item reference together. If the inquiry concerns a processing service rather than a finished component, say so in the description. A title such as shower tray for room type A or reinforcing core for cable drawing revision B gives the request a clearer starting point than a general demand for products. List separate items when their dimensions, appearances or work scopes differ.

Describe the current project stage

State whether the design is an early concept, a sample evaluation or an approved requirement for purchasing. Identify decisions that remain open and the people responsible for them. If the inquiry asks for an alternative, explain which parts of the requirement can be discussed and which interfaces are fixed. This helps keep a proposed change visible instead of allowing it to be mistaken for compliance with the original brief.

Connect documents to the request

Refer to the drawings and specifications by title and revision. Explain whether images are examples of appearance or references for an existing component. Where dimensions are important, use a drawing with labeled measurement faces. Check that the item schedule and the description use the same references. If documents cannot be provided in the initial request, describe what is available and ask how the next exchange should address the missing information.

Set the commercial questions

Provide the quantity requirement and destination for the inquiry under discussion. Ask which items and documents are included in the proposed scope, and request clarification of exclusions. Confirm quantity, delivery arrangements and a current quotation in your inquiry. Where tooling, samples or associated components are involved, give them separate lines so the commercial comparison can distinguish these costs and responsibilities from the main component request.

Review your contact details and request

Enter your name and an email address you can use for the project discussion. Recheck both before submitting the request when the inquiry service is enabled. Summarize the first question you need answered and keep a copy of the requirements for your own record. If a later revision changes the request, identify the changed document and item clearly. A consistent reference trail helps the project team review the resulting proposal against the requirement it intended to discuss.
